I-Joists

Primarily used as part of the floor systems in residential and commercial housing projects. PinkWood I-joists are manufactured to precise tolerances on high-speed equipment with integrated coating technology to yield the best possible physical properties and to maximize strength. PinkWood I-joists will resist warping, crowning and shrinking.

PinkWood’s quality assurance program, monitored by the APA Engineered Wood Association, meets both the Canadian and US building code requirements (CCMC in Canada and ICC-ES in the US).

Although I-joists are most commonly used as a part of flooring systems for residential and commercial projects they can also be used as a roofing system. At Structural Truss Systems, our project specific customization ensure that each I-joists provides increased strength and predictable performance, perfect for unpredictable southern Alberta weather.

Engineered to withstand the challenges of the Canadian climate, including areas with heavy snow loads, our I-joists maintain their integrity under pressure. Their consistent quality and strength-to-weight ratio make them especially valuable in cold-weather environments where roof and floor systems must carry heavy loads without sagging or deflection.
